Catherine Jo Hiner

Catherine Jo Hiner, 92, of Huntington, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at home. She was born April 16, 1920 in Huntington a daughter of the late Joseph Ford and Iris Catherine Klensing Gawthrop. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Kirkpatrick, Lucy Kautz and Lois McCallister. She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Jones Hiner, Jr.; seven children, fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren, Cathy Hood, husband Gary, children Jamie, wife Michele, and Katie, husband Dan Herlihy and daughter Adeline; Jones Hiner, wife Carol son Shane; Jo Gayle Hiner and son Jake; Mary Hiner and children Shane, Matt and Mike; Joe Hiner and wife Debbie, children Sara and Benji, wife Laura; Charlotte Spurlock and husband Jim and children Brian and Zack, wife Mandy and son Mason; John Hiner and wife Shay, children Maggie, Jack and Liz and her daughter Rylan. Private services will be held for the family. Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington or the Organization of Ones' choice.
