William David Barnes

William David Barnes, 75, of Huntington, died Friday, October 19, 2012 at home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2012 at Klingel Carpenter Mortuary. Interment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Bill was born December 21, 1936 in Cape Girardeau, MO, the son of the late James and Mildred Bozeman Barnes. He was retired from the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers as a structural engineer. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Judy Bentley Barnes and two children, W. David Barnes Jr. and his wife Mary of South Riding, VA and Rebecca Barnes Timmons of Lexington, KY. Five grandchildren, Lauren Timmons, Alexandra Timmons, Colby Barnes, Campbell Barnes and Bridget Barnes. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. Monday until service time at the funeral home. It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to the St. Mary's Cardiac Rehab Center.
