Obituary
Dorothy Mae Davis,
86, of Kenova, WV, passed away Monday February 25, 2013 at the Emogene Dolin
Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2
pm Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Mark Booth and Pastor
John McSweeney. Burial will follow in Cyrus Cemetery, Wayne County, WV. She
was born February 1, 1927 in Whites Creek, WV, a daughter of the late
Charles and Carrie Wilson Christian. She was a clerk with Smith’s Little
Giant Grocery and a member of the Cyrus Baptist Church of Kenova, WV.
Dorothy was also a charter member of the Whites Creek OES 159. In addition
to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Davis and
brother Pearl “Buster” Christian. Survivors include a son and daughter in
law Bill and Herma Lynn Davis of Kenova, WV; grandchild Ashlee Davis Brown
of Kenova; sisters Barbara Christian of Kenova and Jean Hensley of
Huntington; sister in law Erma Lee Christian of Prichard, WV; several nieces
and nephews and family and friends. Friends may call from noon until service
time on Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
