Obituary
James D. "Jimmy" Whitt,
64, of Kenova, WV, passed away Wednesday August 14, 2013 at Cabell
Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday at
the Catlettsburg Freewill Baptist Church, Catlettsburg, KY, by Pastor Roger
Branham and Pastor Fred Wiles. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery,
Kenova, WV. He was born December 9, 1948 in Amarillo, Texas, a son of the
late Hurel and Sally Burgett Whitt. He was a retired employee of AK Steel of
Ashland, KY and Jimmy attended the Catlettsburg Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years Rebecca Whitt; daughter and son in
law TaWanna and David Teeters of Kenova; son Michael Whitt of Kenova; four
grandchildren Mikey and Nikki Teeters and Darion and Gabriel Whitt; four
sisters and brothers in law Neila and Charles Barnhill of Ashland, Vicki and
Ernie Ward of Kenova, Robin and Bill Fannin of Grayson, KY and Valorie and
Davis Adkins of Kenova and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from
noon until service time at the Catlettsburg Freewill Baptist Church. Reger
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
