    Chester Lee McCoy 
    79, of Alabaster, AL formerly of Huddy, KY and Delbarton, WV died Friday 
    August 16, 2013 at home. He was born January 24, 1934 the son of London 
    McCoy and Lucy Collins McCoy who preceded him in death. He was a graduate of 
    Crum High School in Crum West Virginia. He was the owner of V&M Coal Company 
    in McCarr, KY for a number of years. Chester served as Vice President of 
    Alabama Land and Mineral in Abernant, AL, Vice President of Energy 
    Development Corporation in Wharncliffe, WV, president of Pond Creek Mining 
    Company in Rawl, WV as well as numerous other coal jobs in his illustrious 
    50 year coal mining career. In addition to his parents he was preceded in 
    death by two beloved sons Dr. Jeffrey McCoy of Logan, WV and Dwight D. McCoy 
    of Alabaster, AL, two brothers Cleatis McCoy Sr. of Logan, WV and Clarence 
    McCoy of Crum WV. He was also preceded in death by two sisters Juanita 
    Browning of Delbarton, WV and Edith Woods of Akron, Ohio. He is survived by 
    his wife Diana McCoy, daughter Patricia Murphy (Wayne) of Delbarton, WV and 
    a son Tim McCoy(Sherry) of Pawleys Island, SC, three step-daughters Pam 
    Bason, Rhonda Bowen and Amy Snow all of Gardendale, AL and a sister Sue 
    Hamilton of Akron, OH as well as two beloved daughters-in-law Dr. Susan 
    McCoy of Madison, WV and Shelley McCoy of Alabaster, AL. Chester was also 
    the proud pa-paw to 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Visitation 
    will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at the Reger 
    Funeral Home, Huntington, WV. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at 
    the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington, WV. Burial will follow at McCoy 
    Cemetery, Webb Road, Crum WV.
