Obituary
Sherrill Douglas Stapleton,
67, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away Sunday September 2, 2012 at St. Mary’s
Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Tuesday at the
Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Tim Porter. Burial will follow in the Maple
Hill Section of Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. He was born December 4,
1944 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Paul and Loraine Hackworth
Stapleton. He was a retired employee of Owens-Illinois. In addition to his
parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Charles and Bob Stapleton
and a sister Margaret Ward. Survivors include his wife of 25 years Delores
Cooper Stapleton; a son and daughter in law Scott and Val Stapleton of
Savannah, Georgia; a daughter Christie Stapleton of Kenova; grandson Brandon
Stapleton; three step children; five step grandchildren and a great grandson
and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 11 am until service
time on Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
