    Mrs. Juanita 
    Mae Newman Houck, 89, of South 
    Point, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by many of those who loved 
    her on Sunday, September 9, 2012. She was born in Greenup County, KY on 
    March 4th, 1923. She resided in Huntington for many years before making her 
    home with her daughter in South Point, in 2008. She was a retiree of Adel 
    Fasteners of Huntington. She leaves behind a daughter and son in law, Sheila 
    F. and Lee R. Mullins, II of South Point, Ohio,a son and daughter-in-law 
    John Paul and Donna Houck of Ona, WV and a son in law Michael Gray of 
    Huntington. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. Her warmth 
    and kindness was extended to any who had contact with her. Many will miss 
    the kisses and hugs she always had ready. She enjoyed having visitors, 
    flowers and collecting recipes. She was preceded in death by her parents, 
    Agustus and Frances Newman, her husband of 54 years, Ora Houck, a loving 
    daughter Patricia G. Gray and a precious grandson Christopher Gray, three 
    sisters, two brothers and a special niece, Maebelle Montgomery. She is 
    survived by many grandchildren; lee R. Mullins, III and wife Elizabeth of 
    Huntington, Greg Mullins and wife Brenda of South Point and Derek Mullins 
    also of South Point. Jamey Houck and wife Crystal of Ona, WV, Johnetta 
    Brandon and husband Randy of Humble, TX, Greg France and wife Rhonda of 
    Barboursville, WV, Timothy France of Oklahoma City, OK and Matthew France 
    and wife Tammy of Barboursville. She is also survived by sixteen great 
    grandchildren and two great –great grandchildren, all of whom brought great 
    joy to her later years. She is survived by two special sisters in law, Edna 
    Lawson of Grayson, KY and Hester Swent of Columbus, OH. The family would 
    like to say a special “Thank You” to Hospice of Huntington, for all of their 
    wonderful support and to a special friend, Cathy Thompson, for all of the 
    love and care she gave to Mae, also a special “Thank You” to Linda Clere for 
    her love and support. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at 
    the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington, WV, with Rev. Phillip Warren 
    officiating. Burial will follow in Huffman Family Cemetery, Grayson, KY. 
    Visitation will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday September 12, 2012 
    at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington, WV.
