Obituary
HELEN A. LEWIS,
87, of Westmoreland, Huntington, W.Va., passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012,
of a sudden heart attack. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at the Lavalette United Methodist Church by Carol McKay. Burial will
be in Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne, W.Va. She was the daughter of the late Oscar
and Sallie Bowen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her husband of 44 years, Donald O. Lewis; a brother, Colin P. Bowen; and two
sisters, Alma Bloss and Geraldine Hardwick. Helen is survived by three sons
and daughters-in-law, Scott and Tammy Lewis, Stephen and Sharon Lewis, and
Michael and Donna Lewis; five grandchildren, Cassandra J. Lewis, Zachary
Lewis, Dr. Joshua Cusick-Lewis, Adam Lewis and Katelyn Lewis; and two
great-grandchildren, Landon Lewis and Madison Graham. Helen was a lifelong
homemaker and was a member of the Lavalette United Methodist Church. She was
a sweet and giving soul, who will be deeply missed. Friends may call from 6
p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Reger Funeral Home. Mrs. Lewis will be taken to
the church one hour before the service on Tuesday.
