Obituary
Vesta Iona (Ona) Blankenship,92,
of Point Pleasant, formerly of Huntington, WV went to be with the Lord on
Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Care. Funeral service
will be conducted on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Reger
Funeral Chapel by Rev. Paul Ray Farley. Burial will follow at White Chapel
Memorial Gardens. She was a faithful member of Jefferson Avenue Church of
God, Huntington and attended Pt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church. Ona was born
on February 23, 1921 in Huntington, WV the daughter of the late Clarence and
Almeda Basenback. Ona was preceded in death by her first husband Ervin
Hensley and second husband Clyde Blankenship. Also preceding her in death
were her sons; Scotty, Jerry, Howard and Darrell Hensley. Two sisters:
Regina Basenback and Faye Chinn and one brother Ferrell Basenback. Ona is
survived by her son and daughter in law: Larry (Judy) Hensley, daughters in
law: Joy (Buddy) Trosper and Linda (Buddy) Haney. She was blessed with 16
grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Two sisters and brothers; Bernice Enix, Bessie Lawson, Hack Basenback and
Ernest Basenback. Friends may call from 6-8 on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at
the Reger Funeral Home.
