Obituary
Larry Glen Smith,
79, went home to be with Jesus on October 27, 2012 at the Emogene Dolin
Jones Hospice House. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 pm
on November 24, 2012 at the Spring Valley Freedom Baptist Church conducted
by Pastor Patrick Elliott.Friends may call from 5:00 pm until service time.
He was the son of the late Lige W. Smith and Bessie Smith. In addition to
his parents he was preceded in death his son Dennis Keith Smith,a brother
Roger Gene Smith and a son in law: Gary Smithers. He is survived by his wife
Jacquelene Sue Smith, two daughters and son in law: Sherry Lynn Smithers and
Connie Kirk (Matthew). five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and
sister: Mrs. Stephen Green (Deborah). Larry was the owner of Smith Music
Company and Waco Vending Company. He was active in his church as a treasurer
and deacon for many years until Alzheimer’s interrupted his activities. In
lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Spring Valley Freedom Baptist
Church or the Hospice House.
Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
