Obituary
Lillian Jane McClanahan,
85, of Kenova, WV, widow of Thomas Eugene McClanahan, passed away Friday
December 21, 2012 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be
conducted at 11 am Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Paul Ray
Farley. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. She
was born May 4, 1927 in Cabell County, WV a daughter of the late Carl Hobert
and Nellie May Stapleton Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the
Jefferson Ave. Church of God. In addition to her husband and parents she was
preceded in death by a son Samuel Eugene McClanahan; two brothers Dan Vernon
Smith and Carl Hobert Smith, Jr. and a sister Gloria May McClanahan.
Survivors include a daughter and son in law Carla and Gary Haynie of Kenova;
three grandchildren and their spouses Ashley Haynie of Kenova, Keri and Ryan
Harbison of Milton, WV and Sara and Eric Early of Greensboro, NC; four great
grandchildren Evan and Emily Harbison and Abbi and Kati Early; three
brothers and two sisters in law Pete Smith, Bill and Connie Smith and Jim
and Martha Smith all of Huntington; several nieces and nephews and a very
special friend Karen Crespo. Friends may call from 10 am until service time
on Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home.
