Peggy M. Lewis

Peggy M. Lewis, 80, of Huntington, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Peggy was born December 27, 1929 in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., a daughter of the late Harry and Vera Chambers Willis. She was a retired Substance Abuse Counselor, a member of B’Nai Sholom Congregation, Hadassah and a long time friend of Bill W. She received her Masters Degree from Marshall University. She is survived by a son and daughter, Walter H. Lewis, III of Huntington and Deborah Lewis of Southampton, England; four grandchildren, Laura and Ahren Thielker, Walter H. Lewis, IV and Amanda Lewis, one sister Owene Ford of Monterey, Tennessee, her constant companion and friend Dr. Violette Eash and Peggy’s dog Allie. Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. Interment will be private. Friends may call Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Monday 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
