Obituary

 David LaSalle Goss Sr., 83, of Huntington passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11am Friday, December 19, 2008 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. David was born March 30, 1925 in Raleigh, WV, a son of the late Joseph and Katie Dollar Goss. He was brought up by Joseph and his loving step-mother, the late Vesta Goss. He retired from the VA Hospital, where he worked in nursing services. He was preceded in death by a son, Joe Goss and a brother Robert Tyson. Survivors include two sons, David Goss, Jr. of Detroit, MI and Phillip Goss of Upper Marlbro, MD; a daughter-in-law, Doris Johnson of Greenup, KY; five grandchildren, Joe, Phillip, Lisa, Angie and Brianna; four great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; four Mannon step-children, Ron, Danny, Sue, Carol; three Cooper step-children, Delnisa, Troy and Machista; five step-grandchildren who were very special to him, Joshua, Jeremy, Jaishawn, Zachary and Lee. Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. The care and service of Mr. Goss is under the direction of Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington.
