Obituary
ERIC MORRIS STANLEY,
23, of Huntington, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015. He was born on
March 24, 1991 in Huntington, a son of Wayne and Mary (Hurt) Stanley. Eric
was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a 2009 graduate of
Huntington High School, where he played football all four years and attended
Marshall University. He was employed by Starlight Behavioral Services. He
was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John F. Hurt and Wayne M. Stanley
and uncles, Don Maynard and Eddie Walker. In addition to his parents, he is
survived by his grandmothers, Rose Hurt and Juanita Stanley; two sisters,
Victoria Stanley and Mattie Stanley; nephew, John Christian Chafin; aunts
and uncles, David (Cate) Hurt, Cathy (Jason) Jodon, Stephanie Maynard,
Connie Walker, and Mike Stanley; a host of cousins and friends; and his
beloved dog, Seiko. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at noon at St.
Joseph Catholic Church with Father Dean Borgmeyer officiating. The family
will receive friends after 10:00 a.m. at the church. Beard Mortuary is
assisting the family. In lieu of flowers those who wish may memorial
contributions to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Maintenance Fund.
