Obituary
JUDY ANN GRUMBLING,
69, of Southside, WV. , formerly of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, March
24, 2015, at Emogene Dolins Jones Hospice House. Memorial services will be
conducted at 4:00p.m. Saturday at Locust Grove Baptist Church, Huntington,
WV., with Pastor Greg Page officiating. She was born May 31, 1945 in
Johnstown, PA. , a daughter of the late John and Winnie Williams. Judy was
an endearing wife, beloved mother, kindhearted, civic minded and community
oriented lady. For 44 years, she raised and trained therapy and service
dogs. She developed the READ (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) program in
2005 for children with difficulties, and again in 2011, she created PAWS FOR
A CURE, structured to provide families of cancer patients help with medical
expenses. In addition to her devoted husband, Robert K. Grumbling of 43
years, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Amye and John Straley
of Milton, WV. , and grandchildren, Joshua Grumbling, Jacob and Jayden
Hendricks, as well as many loving friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can

arrangements.
