Dorothy Lee Magee
89, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Saint
Joseph, MO. She was born October 2, 1925 in Huntington, WV, daughter of
Nannie and Garnie Jones. She was a Homemaker. She enjoyed the Moore
Extension Club, working with charitable organizations, and she was a member
of the King Hill Baptist Church. Dorothy was preceded in death by husband,
Richard C. Magee, her parents, two sisters, Alice Thomas, and Naomi Morris.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Buxton of St. Joseph, MO, and Ann
Tieleman of Prairie Village, KS, three sons, Michael (Dianne) Buxton of
Staunton, VA, Terry Buxton, and Donald (Joyce) Buxton all of Huntington, WV,
seven grandchildren, Treva Brown, Jennifer Wood, Jeremy Buxton, Jamie
Buxton, Lauren Hernandez, Brittany Buxton, and Andrea Tieleman, and several
great grandchildren, and a sister, Judy Chapman of Barboursville, WV, as
well as several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00
pm on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Rupp Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Dixon
officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on
Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Woodmere
Cemetery, Huntington West Virginia.
