Obituary
Peter Benjamin Garrett,
30, beloved son of Jim and Martha Garrett, and beloved brother of Joshua
Neil Garrett, took his flight to heaven on January 12, 2015. Jesus welcomed
Peter with open arms since he had accepted Christ as his Savior, and had
decided to follow Him in believers’ baptism on December 7, 2014. Peter was
met in heaven by his grandparents William and Helen Garrett, Paul and
Kathleen Merritt, and a host of other loved ones. He will always be
remembered with love and greatly missed by his parents, brother Josh and
Jenny Vance, best friend Chad Hale, Lifehouse friends, aunts, uncles:
Richard (Barbara) Garrett, Judy (Gary) Hester, Susan (Jim) Berg, and Nancy
Brauer. A thousand thank to the Lifehouse folks and the loving care at
Cabell Huntington and St. Mary’s hospitals. We will see you again soon,
Peter! Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Keith Wiebe and Pastor
Ronnie Stewarton Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 6pm at the Reger Funeral
Chapel, Huntington. Private burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery. Friends may
call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2014 at the Reger Funeral
Home, Huntington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The
Lifehouse, P.O. Box 503 Huntington, WV 25710.
