Obituary
Fred Laney, Jr.,
82, of Huntington, went to be with the love of his life his beloved wife
Mary, on March 3, 2012. He was born June 4, 1929, to Fred and Lucille Laney
both of whom preceded him in death, along with his loving grandson Chad
Michael Laney. He is survived by his sons, Robby Laney of Huntington, Junior
(Sonya) Laney of Kenova, Mike (Sheila) Laney of Huntington, all of whom
stayed by his side the entire time of his illness and held his hands in the
last moments of his life. Ronnie Laney of Huntington, Michael Laney of
Arizona and one daughter Terri Miller of Arizona and one sister Phyllis
Elkins of Huntington. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Eric (Beth)
Laney of Huntington, Amanda Laney of Huntington, Robin Laney of Huntington,
Heather Laney of Wayne, Amara Hudson of Huntington and Marissa Laney of
Kenova; five great grandchildren Kyle and Amelia Laney of Huntington, Aden
Laney of Huntington, Chanity Rowe and Hunter Findley of Wayne. He served in
the United States Navy and retired from Owens-Illinois. He was a wonderful
husband, father and grandfather and will be missed greatly by them all.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday at the Reger Funeral
Chapel by Rev. Patrick Elliott. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial
Park, Huntington. Friends may call from 1 to 2 pm Tuesday at the Reger
Funeral Home.
