Obituary
Ora Marie Rucker Smith,
103, of Grayson, KY, formerly of Huntington, passed away Monday April 16,
2012 in Carter Nursing and Rehab, Grayson, KY. Funeral services will be
conducted at 1 pm Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Steve
Williams. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. She was
born July 2, 1908 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late William and
Lillie Sammons Rucker. She was a member of the Central Freewill Baptist
Church of Huntington. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death
by her husband Doren C. Smith who passed away in 1973 and six sisters Loney
Maggard, Louise Jett, Nora Sue Atkinson, Georgia Greenhill, Irene Corey and
Shirley Griffin. Survivors include a brother William Rucker of Medina, Ohio;
special niece and caregiver Deloras Wilburn and her husband Charles Wilburn
of Grayson, KY and several other nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Friends may call from noon until service time Wednesday at the Reger Funeral
Home.
