Betty Meek
(February 7, 1937 - January 16, 2019)

Betty Lee Fischer Meek, 81, of Huntington, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House surrounded by her family at her side.  She was born February 7, 1937 in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Clemens Roetting and Juanita Mabel Pyne Fischer.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Meek and a sister, Dorothy Louise Fischer Price.  Betty is survived by her three children, James Wesley (Carolyn) Meek of Villa Hills, KY, Todd Franklin (Susie) Meek and Paige Fischer Meek (Mike) Cobb all of Nashville, TN.; four grandchildren, Jodie Renae (Meek) Greis, Carolyn Ashley Meek, Heather Lauren (Meek) Hargraves and Allison Paige Meek; one sister Kathryn Annabelle Fischer Gould; cousins, Joy and Bill McIlvain and several nieces and nephews.  Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary is assisting the family with private burial rites in Woodmere Memorial Park.
