Jo Ann (Engle) Hamby
(June 2, 1928 - May 31, 2014)

Jo Ann Engle Hamby passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014. She was born June 2, 1928 in Farmersburg, Indiana. She was the wife of Randall L. "Perk" Hamby for over fifty years and made Huntington their home forty of those years. A homemaker, she was the loving mother of two sons, Douglas and Gregory. She was an avid golfer and played frequently at Esquire Country Club. She was an active member of the former Beverly Hills Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband and her younger son, Gregory. She is survived by her eldest son, Douglas of Greenville SC and four grandchildren: Jocelyn of Milwaukee WI and Nicholas, Hallie, and Addison of Norwich CT. Funeral service will be held at 10 A.M., Friday, June 6, at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary by Rev. Greg Creasy. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memories may be sent to Gentiva Hospice of Greenville SC.
