Edrie Hutchinson Clark

Edrie Hutchinson Clark, 91, of Huntington, died Friday, June 29, 2012 in St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born March 26, 1921 in Mason County, WV a daughter of the late David Isaac and Mamie Jolley Hutchinson. She was also preceded by a brother, James Hutchinson. She was a graduate of Marshall University where she received her BA degree along with several Masters Classes. She retired after 35 years as a teacher having started in a one room school house in Mason County and retired from Miller Elementary. A member for over 50 years at Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church and was active in the E. T. Jones Bible Class, Woman's Club of Huntington and the Garden Club of Huntington. She is survived by her children, Hanley Clifton Clark and his wife Dr. Holly Hoback Clark of Charleston, Leah Clark Colvin and her husband Jim Colvin, Marian Clark Dienges and special friend Harlie Ray Hardesty all of Huntington; grandchildren, Clifton Elliott Clark and his wife Katie, Bradford Conaway Clark, Caroline Hoback Clark, all of Charleston, Evan Clark Colvin, Matthew Clark Dienges both of Huntington; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Clark and a sister Audrey Brown of Huntington. Services will be held Noon Monday, July 2, 2012 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary by Rev. Joe Hill. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Friends may call Monday, 11:00 a.m. until service time. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church.
