Alice C. Gracie
(October 21, 1912 - June 5, 2011)

Alice C. Gracie, 98, of Huntington, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born October 21, 1912 in Hinton, W.Va. the daughter of the late Hirum Luther and Emma Lee Womack Chandler. A graduate of Marshall University, member of First Presbyterian Church and a retired Teacher from Huntington East High School. In addition to her parents she was also preceded by her husband, James Robert Gracie and a sister, Frances Houchins. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Curry (Jim) of Frisco, Texas and Jane Blevins (Wayne) of Huntington; three grandchildren, Ann Nistendirk Veinot, Christy Curry Milkereit and John Curry; three great grandchildren, Jake Milkereit, Cole Milkereit and Story Curry. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011at Woodmere Memorial Park by Pastor Tom Hastie. Interment will follow. Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
