H. Patrick Oshel
(June 15, 1935 - February 19, 2011)

H. PATRICK OSHEL, 75, died February 19, 2011, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; son, Glenn (Carol); and grandson, Samuel Patrick of Cincinnati; daughter, Ann of Apex, N.C.; and daughter, Kathy (Brad) Szymanski of Minneapolis, Minn. He was a graduate of Marshall University and worked 33 years for the Corps of Engineers. He was a member of the Association of Engineering Geologists, Past Master of Crescent Lodge #32, AF&AM, 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Past Potentate of Beni Kedem Shrine Temple. He was heavily involved with the Masonic Children's Charities, having served on the Board of Governors for the Cincinnati Burns Hospital and the past Chairman of the Board of the Scottish Rite Childhood Language Clinic at Marshall University. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary, and services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
