Eddie Alfred Black

Eddie Alfred Black, 76 of Huntington, WV, passed away, Thursday, October 20, 2022. He was born December 30, 1945 in Huntington, WV; son of the late Terman and Emma Wray Black. He was retired from ACF. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter who was his princess, Angie J. Black Robinson; three brothers, Everett Black, Jackie Black, Danny Black; and one sister, Peggy Holstein. Eddie is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Charlotte Vaughn Black of Huntington, WV; children, Skip Black (Beth Sutton) of Chesapeake, OH and Jason Black (Tasha Webb) of Proctorville, OH;one brother, Lefty Black of Huntington, WV; one sister, Donna Adkins Donnie) of Huntington, WV seven grandchildren, Brian, Brandi, Heather, Jessi, Eddie, Alexis and Riley; twelve great- grandchildren and a host of family and friends. The family wishes to say a special thanks to Hospice of Huntington and all the staff with a special appreciation to Eddie's nurse, Lisa Valentine for her exceptional care. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E. Pea Ridge Rd. Huntington, WV with Herb Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary.
