Tammara Rae Simmons
(June 2, 1958 - July 2, 2022)

Tammara “Tammy” Rae Simmons, 64 of Huntington, WV went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 2, 2022. She was born June 2, 1958 in Marysville, OH. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Keeney Bates and two brothers, Steve and Greg Law. Tammy is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Thomas Mac Simmons of Huntington, WV; her children Sara Lovejoy (Chad) of Huntington, WV and Thomas “Mac” Simmons II (Anna) of Miller, OH; her grandchildren: Kaitlin (Zach), Macenzie, Luke, Ethan & Dylan; sisters, Robin Law of Huntington, WV, Kim Tetreault (Steve) of Proctorville, OH and a host of extended family. Tammy lived her life by faith and love. She loved the Lord and it showed in her unconditional love, self-sacrifice and bringing comfort to all in need. Tammy was most comfortable working selflessly in the shadows, allowing those around her to shine, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed bringing family together, cooking, and caring for her flowers. Most of all, Tammy cherished all the years she was blessed to spend with her best friend and soulmate, Tom, with whom she truly shared a lifetime of love and support.
Tammy finished the race and kept the faith. She lived according to John 13:34-35: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.” We will sure miss Tam the Lamb.
A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
