Esther Virginia Arthur
(July 21, 1934 - December 17, 2022)

Esther Virginia “Ginny” Arthur of Barboursville, WV left this earth for her heavenly home on December 17th, 2022. She spent her last hours in her home surrounded by her family. She was 88 years young at the time of her death.
This world was blessed with her presence on July 21st, 1934. She was born in Richmond, Va to Okey Guy and Grace Belle Snead. She spent the majority of her life as a stay at home wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a beloved member of the Whirling Wheels community. Ginny filled her days loving on her family, going out dancing, garage sale-ing and playing rummy and canasta with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd V. Arthur, Sr., and her eldest son, Lloyd V. “Bubba” Arthur, Jr., as well as six siblings she loved dearly. She is also preceded in death by her partner in crime and best friend of 50 years, Elizabeth “Sissy” Abshire. She is survived, loved and deeply missed by her son, Daniel Arthur (Penny), her daughters, Grace “Bunny” McCloskey and Linda Jones (Andy); her grandchildren, Tammie, Shane, Jeremy, Jason(Grace), Brandon and Kira; her great-grandchildren, Lauren, Anthony, John “LJ”, Levi, Chase, Max, Rowen, Aurora and a new precious baby boy due in March; and her great-great grandchildren, Elijah, Virginia Grace, Isabella and Damian. She is also survived by her partner of 13 years, Kenny Harris, who adored and cared for her until the very end and her sister, Lois Susan (Ed).
Ginny’s life will be celebrated and remembered on Thursday, December 22nd, 2022. Visitation will be at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 East Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV near Barboursville at 1pm with the funeral services beginning at 2pm. Burial will be directly after at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
