    Dewey Melvin Stickler, 76 of 
    Huntington, W.Va. passed away, Monday, February 20, 2017 at home. He was 
    born January 25, 1941 in Huntington, W.Va. the son of the late, Dewey 
    Granville and Icie Margaret Adkins Stickler. He was a retired school 
    teacher, a U.S. Army veteran and member of Jefferson Avenue Church of God. 
    Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 25, 2017 
    at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. with Pastors Paul Farley, 
    Greg Tomlinson and Rod Justice officiating. Burial will follow in White 
    Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. In addition to his parents, he 
    was also preceded in death by a son, Todd Allen Stickler; a son-in-law, 
    Steve Erwin; two brothers, Robert Stickler, Calvin Stickler; four sisters, 
    Edna Ross, Evelyn Ross, Dorothy Stickler, Pauline Ratliff and a set of twins 
    who died as babies, Barbara and Michael Stickler. He is survived by his 
    loving wife of forty-nine years, Lola Buskirk Stickler; one daughter, 
    Valerie Erwin; grandsons, Todd (Jessica) Erwin and Luke Erwin; 
    great-grandchildren, Annie and Mark Erwin; brother, Darrell (Judy) Stickler 
    and a host of family and friends. The family would like to thank his niece, 
    Sherry Pullen and Norman Hanley for all of their help and care. The family 
    will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Henson & 
    Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va.
