Matilda L. (Huffman) Wray
(June 3, 1935 ~ February 13, 2018)

Matilda L. “Till” Wray, 82, of Glenwood, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington.  She was born June 3, 1935 in Glenwood, WV, a daughter of the late Thomas and Gusta Holley Huffman.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arley L. “Jack” Wray; one son, Larry Chapman; three brothers, Thomas, Winfield and Billy Huffman; one sister, Dorothy Holley; and a great granddaughter, Faith Barker.  She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Thacker of Huntington; two sons, James Chapman (Beverly) of Glenwood and Roy Chapman (Connie) of Ashton; one sister, Ruby Blain of Glenwood; five grandchildren, Martha Barker (Dennis Saxton), Carissa Chapman (James Adkins), Heather (Shane) Lang, Angela (Anthony) Parker and Eugene Chapman; daughter-in-law, Carol Chapman of Glenwood; 6 great grandchildren, Michael Thacker, Hazel Lee, Zacary and Kimberly Lang and Andrew and Christin Parker; and two great-great grandchildren, Matthew and Destiny Lee.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Heck Funeral Home Milton.  Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at1 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 with Pastor Bob Ray officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairfield Church Cemetery, Glenwood.
