Donald Franklin Smith
(August 14, 1951 - December 31, 2018)

Donald Franklin Smith, 67, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 31, 2018.  He was born August 14, 1951, a son of the late Avery and Violet Smith.  He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and Richard Smith and a sister, Darlene Cooper.  He is survived by two daughters, Rachel Droddy of KS and Stella Smith (Ashley) of Milton; three sons, Donald McClellan, Curtis Smith and Eddie Smith, all of Milton; caregiver, Dolletta Smith of Charleston; three sisters, Carol Riffe of NC, Cindy Redding (Darryl) of NC and Peggy Hales (Jimmy) of SC; and 11 grandchildren.  Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Charlie Norris officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.  Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
