    Georgie Forth, 
    65, of
    Milton, went home to be with the Lord, 
    Saturday, September 26, 2009 at St. Mary’s
    
    Medical
    Center. 
    She was the daughter of the late George R. Meadows and Opal Marie 
    Staton Meadows.  In addition to her parents, she was also 
    preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Johnson Forth; grandfathers, Hi 
    Staton and Greenway Meadows; grandmothers, Reese Staton and Exer Meadows. 
    She is survived by three daughters and three wonderful step-children, 
    Margaret Marie Forth and Billey Jean Forth at home, Ronita and Bobby Baird 
    of Apple Grove; Eugene and Jane Forth of Coal Grove, OH, Nellie and Ray 
    Preston of Milton, Charles and Phyllis Forth of Barboursville; brother, 
    George A. Meadows, whom she cared for at home; sister, Ethel May Davis of 
    Apple Grove.  She is also survived by a host of wonderful 
    and beautiful step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, step great great 
    grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many cousins, one whom she grew up with 
    and was her best friend, Jake Estep of
    
    Columbus,
    OH and his wife, Betty Estep. 
    She loved them all dearly.  She was a homemaker 
    and cared for her daughters and brother at home with all her heart and 
    strength.  She was born in
    
    Mingo County,
    WV the daughter of a coal miner 
    on June 2, 1944.  She later moved to
    
    Mason
    County where she met 
    her husband of 23 years, Hugh J. Forth.  Anyone who knew 
    Georgie knew that she loved her family with all of her heart and she took 
    pride in her children and their accomplishments.  She 
    also had two special friends that she loved deeply,
    
    Arizona her dog, and Toby her 
    cat.  Special thanks to Dr. Klinestiver, Sheila, Sylvia, 
    and Christie for all their support, Dr. Kimmey, her oncologist and Dr. Napol. 
    Special thanks to all the nurses and staff at St. Mary’s
    
    Medical
    Center who helped 
    during this painful time.  The family would also like to 
    thank Bud Chapman for caring for Margaret and George, Georgie’s daughter and 
    brother, during her stay in the hospital.  She was a 
    wonderful mother and she will be sadly missed by all, but we take comfort in 
    knowing that she has no more pain and she is in Heaven with our Lord. 
    Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 30, 
    2009 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Ted Nance officiating. 
    Burial will follow in
    
    Barton
    Chapel
    Cemetery, Apple Grove. 
    Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from noon until time 
    of the service.
