Obituary

Ruth E. Bias, 84 formerly of Huntington passed away October 18, 2007 at her sons residence in Delaware, OH. She was born January 22, 1923 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Stonewall and Annie M. Perry. Ruth worked as a secretary with the Huntington Corps. of Engineers. She had been a very active member of Altizer Baptist Church and was a member of Eastern Star Marcum Chapter #61. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Elgin Bias. Survivors include her son Paul L. Beach and his wife Monica of Delaware, OH, one daughter, Sharon Vernatt and her husband Yule of Huntington, two stepdaughters, Janet Copley of Proctorville OH and Joyce McClain of Brandon FL, and one brother Frank Perry also of Huntington. Four grandchildren, four step grandchildren, five great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Friday October 26, 2007 at Altizer Baptist Church with Rev. Cledith Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Hospice Foundation.
