Obituary

Mary A. Dunford, 74 of Huntington passed away peacefully Monday April 23, 2007 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am Thursday April 26, 2007 at the Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Cemetery. Mary was born March 11, 1933 in Lawrence County, OH to the late Hobart and Edith Murdock Jones. She retired from Coyne Textile after many years of service. She was a member of Norway Ave. Church of Christ and volunteered her time working with the church’s food bank ministry. She was also a volunteer with the Red Cross and Huntington City Mission. She is survived by five sons; two sisters, Mildred Heffner of Chesapeake, OH and Josephine Cregut of Huntington, WV; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two very special friends Ben and Pat Martin of Huntington, WV. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington for all of their care and support during Ms. Dunford’s illness. Calling hours will be from 6-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.  The care and services of Ms. Dunford are under the direction of Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington.
