Obituary
VIRGINIA HENSLEY KUYKENDALL,
76, of Ceredo, wife of Gene Kuykendall, passed away on Saturday, April 4,
2015. She was born on February 12, 1939 in Huntington, a daughter of the
late Bruce and Mabel (Hoskinson) Hensley. In addition to her parents she was
preceded in death by a sister, Anna Mae Hensley. In addition to her husband
she is survived by sisters, Linda Mae Martin of Huntington and Connie Sue
Evans of Walton, KY; brothers, Ronald, Anthony of Huntington and Ron Hensley
of Oak Harbor, OH; nieces and nephews, Regina Lafferty, Valerie Carr,
Patricia Hensley, Crystal Rose, Johnny Martin and Jeremy Martin; a host of
great nieces and nephews; special friends Chet and Becky Florczak; and all
of her church family. Virginia was a member of the Ceredo Christian Baptist
Church and was a former member at Pleasant Valley Church where she served as
the church treasurer and was a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member
of the Salvation Army and sang with the Kings Highway Trio. Funeral services
will be conducted on Wednesday, April 8, 2014 at the Ceredo Christian
Baptist Church, 417 Main Street, Ceredo, WV, at 7: 00 PM with Pastor Chris
Day officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the
church. A procession to Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock will gather at the
church at 10:00 AM on Thursday morning. Beard Mortuary is assisting the
family.
