Obituary
CALVIN H. CAMPBELL,
90 years old, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in Beckley, WV. He
was born in Chapmanville, WV on November 6, 1924, a son of the late Everette
and Alifair Campbell, one of nine children. He graduated from Chapmanville
High School in 1942. One year later he entered the U.S. Armed Forces and
served in WWII in Italy. He was a graduate of Marshall College and later
obtained a master’s degree. He was retired from International Nickel with 36
years of service, an avid Marshall fan, a member of VFW Post 9738 and was a
long time member of Guyandotte United Methodist Church. He was preceded in
death by his wife of 43 years, Martha. He is survived by one brother, Herb;
two sons Mark and Mike; a daughter, Suzanne; a daughter-in-law, Irina; three
grandchildren, Mark, Cody and Jesse; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral
services will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Beard
Mortuary, Huntington with Pastor Lanny Coberly officiating. Burial will
follow at Woodmere memorial Park, Huntington. The family will receive guests
one hour before the service at the mortuary.
