Obituary
Richard J. "Dick" Burns, Jr.
73, of Barboursville, WV passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2014. A
memorial service will be held on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Barboursville
Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until
service time. He was born December 25, 1940 in Toledo, OH. He is survived by
his lifetime partner of 30 years, Reva Bailey; two daughters, Reona
Bailey-McGee, Barboursville, WV, and Kimberly Burns Brames, Indiana;
grandchildren, Roman Jacob, and Rocco Gray McGee, Barboursville, WV and Emma
Sue, Indiana. He is also survived by Rita and Russ Hodges, Barboursville,
WV; Roman Hodges, Barboursville, WV and Ryan Hodges, Greenville, SC.;
Dorothy "Gram" Morris, Summerfield, OH; sisters, Peg Van Brackel and Ruth
Ann Baker. He also leaves behind very special friends, Brenda Linville,
Rhonda Vance, Steve and Nancy Ely and Denise, Mike, and Nick Hoge. Anyone
that knew "Pappi" knew all about his two extra special buddies, Roman and
Rocco, they were an unstoppable Trio. Pappi was a pillar of strength, always
leading by example the path of a strong Christian Man.
