Obituary
AMY BETH DINGESS ROBERTSON,
42, of Huntington passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2014 from injuries
sustained in a tragic accident. She was born on May 12, 1972 in Columbus,
OH, a daughter of Sam and Elizabeth “Libby” (Surgoine) Dingess of
Huntington. In addition to her parents she is survived by her children,
Savana, Cameron and Mackenzie Robertson all of Huntington; a loving sister,
Ashley Dingess of Brooklyn, NY; grandmother, Nadine Dingess, several aunts,
uncles, cousins and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her
grandparents, Charles and Shirley Surgoine, Paul Martin Dingess and
Genevieve Whitt. Amy was a devoted mother who loved music, dancing and
playing drums. She was a 1990 graduate of Huntington East High School where
she was a majorette, attended Marshall University and graduated from the
college of West Virginia as a respiratory therapist. She was employed as a
Respiratory Therapist at Cabell Huntington Hospital. The family wishes to
express their gratitude to all whose lives she’s touched throughout her
lifetime. A special thank you to her dear friend Kim Kirby for her
unconditional love and support. Funeral services will be conducted on
Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Beard Mortuary, Huntington. Burial will
follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Those who wish make memorial
contributions to the CHHE Credit Union, Amy Robertson Memorial Fund, 1340
Hal Greer Blvd, Huntington, WV 25701. Visitation will be held on Wednesday
evening from 6 – 8 PM at the mortuary.
