      Obituary
    
    Charles Baxter “Chick” Morris, Jr., 82, of Huntington, 
    beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Friday, November 7, 2008 
    in the Huntington VA Medical Center.  He was born 
    September 27, 1926 in
    
    Logan,
    WV to the late Charles Baxter 
    Morris, Sr. and Mabel McDonald Morris.  He was preceded 
    in death by his brothers-in-law, Carson Browning and Paul Caraway. 
    Chick was a member of the
    Fifth
    Avenue
    Baptist
    Church,
    
    Huntington.  
    He attended the
    Greenbrier
    Military
    Academy in
    Lewisburg,
    WV and
    
    Marshall
    University. 
    He was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII and was a member of the 
    Greenbrier Alumni Association and Kappa Alpha Fraternity and a Fifty Plus 
    member of the Fraternal Order of the Elks.  He was a 
    business associate of the W.W. McDonald Land Company in
    
    Logan,
    WV, of which he was very proud. 
    He is survived by his wife, Ruth Caraway Morris and would have been 
    married 55 years on November 14, 2008.  He is also 
    survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Baxter III and Rebecca 
    Morris and McDonald “Mac” Caraway and Katrina Morris; three grandchildren, 
    Charles Matthew Morris, Caleigh Grace Morris and Marian Leigh Woolfolk; one 
    sister, Lou Ann Morris Browning; brother-in-law, Wray Caraway and his wife, 
    Virginia; sister-in-law, Betty Caraway; and many special nieces and nephews, 
    and special friends the Thomas Rone family.  Services 
    will be private.  Beard Mortuary,
    
    Huntington is in charge of
