      Obituary
    
    Laura Alice Adams, 85, passed away on November 7, 2008. 
    She was born on December 23, 1922 at
    
    Lenore,
    WV.  She was 
    the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Emma White Hall. 
    She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vergil Adams; 
    daughter, Donna Lynn Adams; and sister, Helen Hall.  She 
    is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Patty Adams, grandson 
    Bryan Adams of Huntington, granddaughter Kimberly Inman and her husband, 
    Chad Inman of Kansas City, MO and great granddaughter, Lauryn Adams of
    
    Huntington.  
    She is also survived by her sisters, Lucy Deskins, Ruby Shutt, and Bernadine 
    Mounts; her brother, Ralph Hall; very special friends, Tom and Marion McCray 
    and Charlie and Mertie Woolcock and numerous nieces and nephews. 
    She graduated from
    Lenore
    High School and attended
    Concord
    College and
    
    Marshall
    University where she 
    earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.  She was a 
    bookkeeper for Adams Gulf Inc. and taught cooking at
    
    Barboursville
    Junior High School. 
    She was a member of Highlawn Presbyterian Church where she was active 
    in preparing meals for homebound church members and the Huntington City 
    Mission.  Services will be held at Beard Mortuary on 
    Monday, November 10, 2008 with Dr. Jack Haga officiating. 
    Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  
    Interment will follow in
    
    Woodmere
    Memorial Park.
