    DONNA LEE GIBSON CHILDERS, age 
    85, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 18, 2016. She passed 
    away at home with family by her side. A lifelong Christian, she was born 
    March 17, 1931, in Hurricane, W.Va., to Lillard and Reba Gibson. She was 
    saved at Bethel Baptist Church and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. A 
    loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to all, who never knew a 
    stranger, she was lovingly referred to as Mamaw Donnie in her hometown of 
    Milton, W.Va. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lillard and Reba 
    Gibson, sister, Paula Roach, brother, Chuck Gibson, and aunt, Alma Billups. 
    She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Charles Cleveland 
    Childers; brothers, Billy Ray Gibson and David Gibson; son, Mike Childers 
    and his wife Kristine; son, Rick Childers and his wife Teresa; son, Gregory 
    Childers and his wife Cheryl; and daughter, Cindy Childers. She is also 
    survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored, 
    including: grandson Jeremy Childers, his wife Sheena and their sons Ethan 
    and Evan; grandson Justin Childers; grandson Jarrod Childers, his wife 
    Hannah and their daughters Alexandra and Lauren; grandson John Childers, his 
    wife Kristy their son Andrew and their daughter Kailey; grandson Daniel 
    Childers and his wife Sasha; granddaughter Alisa Peters, her husband Tyree 
    and their sons Judson and Beau; granddaughter Lindsey Carte, her husband 
    Dennis and their daughter Madison Short; granddaughter Adrienne Childers; 
    grandson Charles Cody Childers; granddaughter Courtney Childers; and 
    granddaughter Sarah Boekell, her husband Paul and their children Isaiah, 
    Juliet, Ezra and Abraham. Donna would also like to include Suzanne Childers 
    Chapman, who was like a daughter to her, and would like to mention special 
    friends Cheryl Sue Craddock Childers and Steve Bond (Sarah Beth Bokell's 
    father), and the multiple sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews 
    and cousins who are simply too numerous to name. Funeral services will be 
    conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2016, at 
    Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Bill Davis. Burial will be in 
    Forest Memorial Park, 
    Milton. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at 
    Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, and after noon Thursday at the funeral home. 
    In lieu of flowers, Donna expresses her wish for friends and family to 
    consider donating to Redemption Church of Huntington, W.Va., as this would 
    be a meaningful contribution to her and the community she loves.
