Nelma Ruth Smith

Nelma Ruth Smith, 84, of Kenova, went to be with Dad on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her residence. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 pm by Pastor David Roach on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Dock's Creek Cemetery. Burial will follow. Ruth was born on March 21, 1937 in Huntington, W.Va., to the late Hallie and Dorothy Walls Stowers. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Billie Joe Smith. She is survived by three sons, Mark (Marcy) Smith, Duncan Smith, and Vernon (April) Smith; seven grandchildren, Brittany Massenburg, Breanna Smith, Jacy Smith, Marlies Smith, Connor Smith, Miranda Smith, and Marissa Smith; three great grandchildren; one brother, Luther Stowers; and one sister, Jene Black. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. The family asks for no flowers be delivered for the service.
