    Ferdinand "Pepper" Weinberger, II, 
    74, of Huntington, WV, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 29, 2017 
    at home. Pepper was born to Ferdinand and Sadie Nelson Weinberger. He leaves 
    behind his wife of 51 years, Sara "Susie" White Weinberger; son, Brian 
    (Susan) Weinberger; sisters, DiAnn Willis of Huntington, WV and Karen 
    (Freddie) Steinbrecher of Zanesville, OH; a grandson, Stephen (Melissa Ison) 
    Lusher and great grandchildren Vivian and Charles Lusher of Wilmington, NC; 
    and many other family and friends, including Greg Orsillo and Bill Taylor. 
    Pepper graduated from Huntington High School in 1961. He was retired from 
    the U.S. Army Reserves as a First Sergeant E8 with 38 years service. He was 
    retired from the telephone company (C&P/Bell Atlantic/Verizon) with 36 years 
    of service as an installer/repairman. Pepper lived for his family and 
    Marshall University football. Since 1975 he had devoted his time to helping 
    with the Marshall Football Equipment and Coaches Communication divisions of 
    the team. Pepper was a member of the 'M' Club and Big Green. He was 
    currently President of the Cabway Telco Federal Credit Union; life member of 
    the D.A.V.; and a member of the American Legion Post 0177. Contributions may 
    be made to the MU Big Green. He attended Grace Gospel Church for a number of 
    years. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2 
    P.M. at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Dr. Keith Wiebe. Military rites will be 
    performed by the Huntington Honor Guard of American Legion Post 16. Friends 
    may call from noon until service time on Saturday at the Reger Funeral Home. 
    There will be a committal service at noon Monday, at Woodmere Memorial Park, 
    Huntington. There will be no procession to the cemetery
