Earl Simpkins, 93, of Huntington, WV passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at his residence.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday, December 14, 2017 by Minister John Holland, Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery.  He was born January 4, 1924 in Wayne County, WV the son of the late Pleasant Robert and Nettie Adkins Simpkins.  He was a retired employee of Martha White Mills and a US Army veteran.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers: E.J. Simpkins, Robert E. Simpkins and Lucian Simpkins and three sisters: Cassie Lane, Alma Adkins and Iva Bias.  Survivors include: his wife of 74 years Eloise Simpkins, a daughter and son in law: Roberta McKeand (Harold). A grandson and spouse: Dr. Chris McKeand (Christine) two great grandchildren: Allison and Connor McKeand and two sisters: Avonelle Endicott and Lois Ross.
