    Obituary
     Livingston M. “Cork” Meadows Jr., 
    66 of South Point, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2016 
    at the Huntington VAMC. With his daughters Sarah and Becky and two sisters 
    Shelia and Donna by his side, after suffering a courageous battle of many 
    illnesses for over 30 years.  Funeral services will be conducted on 
    Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor 
    John McSweeney. Burial will follow at Oak lawn Cemetery, East Pea Ridge 
    Road.  Cork was born on July 31 1949 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded 
    in death by his two mothers Virginia Jones Meadows who died when he was 9 
    years old and his mother who raised him Anna Student Meadows who wrote him 
    letters everyday when he was in the service and Vietnam. His namesake and 
    father Livingston Meadows Sr. , sister Carole Battista Mossburg, Uncle Tommy 
    Jones and Aunt Mary Jones Lemley.  Cork was a veteran of the US Marine 
    Corp. and a Vietnam Veteran and retired with 35 years of service with 
    Buckeye Rural Electric as a lineman. He was a 1969 graduate of Vinson High 
    School.  A double organ transplant recipient. An avid golfer, softball 
    player and lover of bluegrass music playing the upright bass with the 
    Stillwater Bluegrass Band and Mountaineer Ramblers.  He is survived by 
    his wife: Cecelia Carter Meadows, two daughters : Sarah and Marc Balandra 
    and Becky Meadows and Ron Gullett., Brothers and sisters and spouses: Andy 
    Battista of Huntington, WV, Artie “Dino” Battista of Huntington, WV, JoAnn 
    (Arnold) Celentano of Louisville, KY., Tom( Karla) Meadows of Huntington, 
    WV, Shelia Wisinsky of Ashton, WV and Donna (Shawn) Johnson of Huntington, 
    WV. His special grandchildren who were the loves of his life Braylon and 
    Malia Balandra. An aunt Anna Jones Bryant of Huntington, WV and several 
    nieces and nephews.
