Obituary
Donald Eugene Beckner, 86, of
Huntington, WV passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Emogene Dolin
Jones Hospice House. He was born on October 17, 1925 the son to the
late Earl J. Beckner and Grace Beckner Hagley. He was retired from the
VA Hospital and served with the 8th Air Force during WW II as a rear tail
gunner on a B-17. He was a member of VFW 1064 and the American Legion Post
16. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother;
Earl J. Beckner Jr. He is survived by his wife; Joyce Wilson Beckner,
daughters and sons in law: Donna Norris (Gary) and Deanna Yoho (Randy) and
son and daughter in law: Dan Beckner (Edith). Five grandchildren,D.R.
Beckner, Jill Norris, Leigh Fry (Reid), Tanner and Taylor Yoho and two great
grandchildren and step granddaughter Christina Isaac (Chad) and family.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the
Reger Funeral Chapel with Dr. C.J. Adkins. Burial will follow at Woodmere
Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11:00 until service time at the Reger
Funeral Home.
