    Mildred Mobley Burgess Murphy, 
    92, died June 12, 2012 at Midland Meadows Assisted Living in Ona, WV.  
    She was the daughter of the late John and Laura Mobley of Huntington, WV.  
    Mildred was born on November 22, 1919 in Huntington she was preceded in 
    death by her brothers: Kyle, John, Walter, Cecil and Elzy Mobley and 
    sisters: Kitty Mobley, Mabel Dobins, Kathlein Mobley and Frances Stein.  
    Mildred is survived by her daughter Laura Burgess Smith and son in law: J. 
    David Smith, son Joe Burgess and daughter in law: Ave; four grandchildren: 
    Laura Anne (Smith) Shaw of Fairhope, AL., Lisa (Smith) Lippy of Louisville, 
    KY., Chris Burgess and Kimberly Burgess of Huntington, WV., five great 
    grandchildren: Lauren, Alex and Reid Shaw of Fairhope, AL., and Ethan and 
    Addison Burgess of Huntington, WV. Also Mildred has two special friends: 
    Gerry Fenton and Judy Riggs of Huntington, WV and a niece, Susan Rowley of 
    Jacksonville, FL.  Mildred read the bible through several times and 
    enjoyed western books, game shows and old movies on TV. She enjoyed fixing 
    things, gardening, gospel music and helping others. Friends and relatives 
    always enjoyed visiting her. She loved to laugh. Mildred will be greatly 
    missed by all who knew her.  Special thanks go to Midland Meadows 
    Assisted Living facility nurses, aids, kitchen staff and servers who cared 
    for her with compassion, love and kindness. We truly appreciate the 
    wonderful help of Hospice in her last days. Words cannot express the 
    gratitude for the care she received.  In lieu of flowers donations may 
    be sent to Hospice of Huntington and the Cabell County Humane Society where 
    she adopted a dog named Lady which gave her many years of pleasure.  
    Friends may call at the Reger Funeral Home in Huntington from 1:00pm until 
    2:00pm Monday, June 18, 2012. Graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 pm 
    Monday at Blue Sulphur Cemetery, Ona, WV. Pastor Bob Hale of Good Samaritan 
    Church will preside.
