    Thomas Lee Kuhn

    Thomas L. Kuhn, 
    (82) of Ona, WV passed away Thursday January 13, 2015. Service will be at 
    11:00 am Friday, January 16, at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary Huntington WV. 
    Rev. Tracy Mills presiding, visitation will be one hour before service. 
    Entombment will follow in the Garden Building at Woodmere Memorial Park. Tom 
    was born to S. Beatrice (Bea) Thomas of Huntington, WV. He was a graduate of 
    Huntington High School class of 1952. A veteran of the Korean War, he served 
    four years in the U.S. Navy aboard the destroyer USS Hyman. In 1957, 
    employed by Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood, WV he became a member of Ashton 
    12 Masonic Lodge. In 1962, he graduated from Marshall University with a B.S. 
    degree in accounting, and became an accountant with Corning Glass Works in 
    Parkersburg, WV. In 1965 he was employed by the U.S. Treasury, Internal 
    Revenue Service. During his time with the IRS he was on assignment to 
    various federal agencies and federal grand juries from coast to coast and 
    border to border as well as outside the continental United States. He 
    completed many multi-corporate cases that were agreed to by the U.S Supreme 
    Court including high profile political state officials. Tom retired as a 
    Special Agent in 1992. The late United States Senator Robert C. Byrd had an 
    American Flag flown over the U. S. Capitol in his Honor. He was a member of 
    the American Legion, Post 177, Barboursville, West Virginia and the Riviera 
    Country Club. Tom was preceded in death by his mother in 1999 and 
    granddaughter, Emmy Lou Kuhn Prichard (Dec. 7/17/07) . He is survived by his 
    wife of 61 years Janice Bias Kuhn and two sons, Thomas Kenton Kuhn (Shelia) 
    and Brian Lee Kuhn (Anita), and six grandchildren: William Kenton Kuhn of 
    Oakland CA, Aaron Brian Kuhn (Sharon), Jordan Thomas Kuhn, Evan Scott Kuhn, 
    Morgan Christian Kuhn, of Midland MI and Mandy Hodge Perry (Ryan) of Milton 
    WV. The family wishes to express appreciation to the Emogene Dolin Jones 
    Hospice House of Huntington and their Staff.
