    David Dwight Otto

    David Dwight Otto, 64, of Huntington, WV, 
    passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House 
    after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born 
    April 10, 1951 in Boston, MA, the son of the late John F. Otto, M.D. and 
    Virginia Holt Otto. He moved with his family to Huntington as a child in 
    1957. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1969, attended Tulane 
    University and graduated from Antioch University in 1977 with a degree in 
    psychology. He was employed for many years in medical equipment sales, first 
    by Pentech Medical, Inc. and then with GWR Medical, Inc. He is survived by 
    his sisters Deborah Otto, Marilyn Otto, M.D. and her husband James Goetz, 
    M.D., and Karen O. Miller and her husband Paul E. Miller, as well as nieces 
    and nephews Brendan and Audrey Weaver, Emily, Evan and Libby Goetz, and 
    Abigail and Ben Miller. Also surviving are Kathy Carter, his soulmate and 
    loving and supportive companion for the last 10 years, his cousin Bob 
    Schuette, Jr. and his wife DeeDee, his cousin Tom Schuette and wife Kathy 
    and their children. David was a friendly and outgoing person who enjoyed 
    conversation and his frequent get-togethers with his "Breakfast Group 
    Buddies" over the years. All who knew him, will miss his enthusiastic 
    personality and spirit. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm on Sunday, December 
    27, 2015 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary in Huntington, WV. Funeral services 
    will be held at 2 pm, Monday, December 28, 2015 at Klingel-Carpenter 
    Mortuary, followed by graveside services at Woodmere Memorial Park.
