Leonard C. Houck

Leonard C. Houck, 76, of Huntington, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at his home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Leonard was born June 16, 1933 in Marion Center, PA., a son of the late Frederick William and Mary McCormick Houck. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Glasser. Mr. Houck was retired from Ashland Oil and was a sports enthusiast who participated in bowling leagues throughout his life and enjoyed following the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Pirates as a fan. He is survived by his wife Patricia; five children, Rita Wilkins and husband Albert of Joppa, MD, Barry Houck and wife Donna of Buffalo, NY, Doug Houck and wife Peggy of Chicago, IL, Ted Houck and wife Margaret of Syracuse, NY, Michelle Gould and husband David of Richmond, VA, 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one brother, Bill Houck and wife Hope of Meadville, PA. Leonard appreciated travel and the company of his sisters and brothers-in-law, especially that of his brother-in-law and good friend Jim Fenton. Klingel Carpenter Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
