James “Jim” Bays, Jr., 62, of Milton, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at his home, surrounded by loved ones. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Mt. Olive Methodist Church Cemetery, Johns Creek Rd, Milton. He was born April 21, 1949 in Hubbard Springs, VA, a son of the late James Sr. and Cynthia Lee Bays. Mr. Bays was a veteran of the US Navy, a Freemason and a member of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He is survived by his wife, Dreama Meadows Bays; two sons, Brian (Cristine) Bays and Jason Bays, both of GA; two stepdaughters, Bridgett (Doug) Davis of Hurricane and Bobbie Kayser of Milton; three grandchildren, Carter, Kelli and Riley Bays; two step grandchildren, Mark Shaffer and Brittany Davis; and caring ex-wife, Patricia Bays of FL. There will be no visitation. Heck Funeral Home, Milton is assisting the family.
